Crowdsourcing Teaching Evaluations through Twitter?

A journalism professor is using Twitter to get evaluations from students on his teaching philosophy. It seems fitting, since Mr. Littau teaches multimedia reporting, media literacy, and new media and social change, that he would use a social networking engine to get material for his 2-year review.

Mr. Littau uses social media in his classroom often, and now considers it a core value of his teaching philosophy. We have talked about it some in this space, but would you use Twitter or a similar social networking engine to get feedback from students? Or are course evaluations the way to go?
