St. Monica Academy, a Catholic classical-liberal-arts high school in Pasadena, California, seeks candidates for a new position of Vice Principal and Academic Dean.
Requirements:
· Strong skills in teaching high school students
· Thorough knowledge of Catholic doctrine and Church history
· Command of history and the classical canon of Western literature
· Keen discernment of style, including the beauty and power of great speeches, poems, and prose and the rhetorical elements that make them memorable
· Ability to lead fellow teachers in designing and executing courses that implement these objectives
· Initiative in proposing improvements to the present curriculum to further the goals set forth in the St. Monica Academy High School Charter of Principles (see http://www.stmonicaacademy.com/academics/high-school)
· Complete fidelity to the Magisterium.
