North Georgia College & State University is currently accepting applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Political Science in the Department of Political Science & Criminal Justice. Located north of Atlanta, North Georgia is a state supported, co-educational university known for its academic excellence. North Georgia has a student population of approximately 6000 students. Education Requirement:

REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in political science, public administration, or a related field. Previous teaching experience is essential.

Experience Requirement:

Previous teaching experience is essential.

Preference will be given to those candidates who:

1. have experience teaching graduate courses at the university level. 

2. are familiar with online instruction. 

3. successful record of scholarly publication.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate for this position will teach both graduate courses in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program and undergraduate courses in American Government, political theory and political leadership.

Although teaching is the primary activity of the faculty member in this position, scholarship, advising, and service is part of the collaborative atmosphere that characterizes the Department.
